We aren’t at a golf tournament! Why is everyone so quiet at the dressage shows? If you go to any another type of horse show people are clapping, whistling and cheering, so I’m not sure why the Americans think we need to be so careful. I do understand if some one is reading a test the rider can’t hear but maybe we should desensitize our horses a little more before we get to the shows. It can be very nerve racking going through this process but when you get to a show you will understand how you horse will react and what it will react to. If you are not comfortable introducing your horse to new things you may want to ask your trainer to help you give your horse the experience. We have had a lot of fun over the years doing this with some of our youngsters and what an experience for everyone involved!
