For more than 50 years, Moana Morgans has bred, raised, trained, and competed Morgan horses in Montana. What began in the 1970s as a family breeding program for working ranch horses has evolved across four generations into a respected Morgan sport horse breeding and dressage training program.
Today, we combine proven Morgan bloodlines with decades of experience in dressage, natural horsemanship, ranch work, combined driving, and equestrian education to develop talented, trainable horses and confident riders.

At Moana Morgans, we believe a great sport horse should be both athletic and enjoyable to ride.
Our breeding program has been developed through more than five decades of thoughtful selection, combining proven Morgan sport-horse bloodlines to produce horses with quality movement, athleticism, trainability, size, and willing temperaments.
We don't just breed our horses—we ride, train, compete, and develop them. That experience gives us firsthand knowledge of the qualities our bloodlines produce and helps guide each new generation.
Moana Morgans have successfully competed from the lower levels through FEI dressage and Grand Prix, while others have become trusted partners for amateur riders, recreational riding, and the trail.
Dressage Training, Riding Lessons & Horse Boarding
With more than 30 years of training and coaching experience, Moana Morgans welcomes riders from their first lesson through FEI-level dressage in a supportive, horse-centered environment.
We offer training, lessons with school horses, and stall, paddock, or pasture boarding, with indoor and full-size outdoor arenas. Our experience spans dressage, natural horsemanship, combined driving, Working Equitation, and youth programs.
Our fair, compassionate approach emphasizes sustainable training for both horse and rider, building strength, confidence, and skills at a pace that supports lasting progress.
Moana Morgans brings decades of competitive experience, including USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals and USDF All-Breeds, MDA, and AMHA honors.
Our horses’ achievements include Grand Prix with Iron Forge Starman and Flower of Alliance, and Intermediate I with Moana Irish Mist. We’ve coached riders from their first shows through regional and national qualification and the North American Youth Championships.

Founded in the 1970s by Marvin Radtke on his cattle ranch in Hall, Montana, Moana Morgans carries a family tradition through four generations. His bloodlines remain in our broodmare herd, alongside the Moana and EMR prefixes.
Today, we develop Morgan sport horses while honoring our roots in sound horsemanship, thoughtful breeding, versatility, and trainability—a legacy we’re proud to carry forward.
